Hi opera lovers!
I just finished up a wonderful weekend of Opera Highlights with a fantastic cast from Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne and New Zealand. Once again the stately Albert Hall in Canberra proved an excellent venue to share the highlights of opera with sold-out audiences. Starting with Carl Orff’s ‘Carmina Burana’, we enjoyed performing highlights by Rossini, Liszt, Balfe, Puccini and Dvorak, and even included some West Side Story. I had an especially wonderful time playing Verdi’s ‘I Vespri Siciliani’ with a brand new countermelody written especially for this concert. Thank you to the audience for all their enthusiasm!
Keep your eyes and ears open for upcoming events!
Sam
